We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming participation at the Smart Country Convention from October 15-17, 2024, in Berlin. As part of our ecosystem’s commitment to advancing digital transformation, we will be hosting a booth together with SCOPE Europe.
SRIW, established in 2011, is a non-profit association with a European focus, dedicated to harmonizing industry practices with societal demands and political requirements. Over the years, we’ve gained first-hand experience in establishing trusted self- and co-regulatory frameworks that ensure effective data and consumer protection across the information economy. Our ecosystem, which includes SCOPE Europe—Europe’s leading independent Monitoring Body—has been at the forefront of pioneering initiatives, such as supporting the first officially approved transnational Code of Conduct under GDPR for Cloud Service Providers.
By participating at the Smart Country Convention, we aim to showcase how self-regulation can drive the digitalization and modernization of public sectors. Our presence at the event is driven by our mission to connect experts, facilitate discussions, and kick off frontrunner initiatives that contribute to the development, approval, and monitoring of Codes of Conduct. We believe that balanced and monitored self-regulatory frameworks are essential for aligning industry practices with the evolving needs of society.
