SCOPE Europe joining the upcoming JUC GDPR Network meeting

SCOPE EuropeEU Cloud CoCNewsEvent

On Thursday, September 8, SCOPE Europe will join the JUC GDPR Network meeting to discuss the unique potential of the EU Cloud CoC to boost the compliance exercise of cloud services and their users.

Our Head of Monitoring and Auditing, Legal Affairs, Frank Ingenrieth and Head of Operations and Director Public Policy, Laura Wiesenfeld, are travelling to Denmark to represent SCOPE Europe at the JUC GDPR Network meeting. They will join network leaders Tanja Blichfeldt Johnsen (lawyer and partner at NOVI Advokater and deputy member of the Data Council) and Pia Kirstine Voldmester (lawyer and partner, Kromann Reumert and member of the Data Council) among other industry professionals.

JUC organizes network meetings each season to discuss current themes and exchange experiences related to data protection law in Denmark. The September session is one of the 4 network meetings taking place this season. We’re excited to share our perspectives when we take the stage in Copenhagen at 15:30.

What’s on the agenda?

The speakers will provide insights on how the EU Cloud Code of Conduct constitutes a solid tool to address data privacy compliance challenges. In this context, they will discuss how this instrument is having a significant impact on the international privacy community and providing critical benefits in terms of cost, flexibility, efficiency, security, and scalability.

Furthermore, speakers will walk the audience through the adherence process, as well as investigate how the Code interacts with and leverages other compliance efforts, such as international standards, third-party certifications, and audits, allowing companies to maintain a comprehensive and yet coherent privacy program.
