"Legal uncertainties after Schrems II: Could codes of conduct be the answer?" (Webinar)

SCOPE EuropeEU Cloud CoCEvent

We are excited to partner with NGIoT and jointly organize the webinar "Legal uncertainties after Schrems II: Could codes of conduct be the answer?" with our Senior Manager Public Policy & Privacy, Cornelius Witt

Since the recent “Schrems II” ruling of the European Court of Justice, invalidating Privacy Shield and imposing additional obligations on organizations relying on standard contractual clauses, many organizations are facing legal uncertainties related to third-country transfers of personal data. One alternative transfer mechanism – newly introduced by GDPR and often overlooked – are Codes of Conduct.

As many privacy experts are pushing for the implementation of Codes in the wake of the “Schrems II” ruling, this webinar explores the benefits, key principles and potentials of Codes of Conduct under GDPR and gives an overview for possible solutions for different sectors.
