SRIW is pleased to have participated in the AI Dialogue hosted by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) on August 20th in Berlin. This event was an important step in shaping the future of AI governance, focusing on the recent calls initiated by the AI Office concerning the development of practical guidelines for General Purpose AI models in accordance with Article 56 AI Act (AI Act: Participate in the drawing-up of the first General-Purpose AI Code of Practice | Shaping Europe’s digital future (europa.eu) and AI Act: Have Your Say on Trustworthy General-Purpose AI | Shaping Europe’s digital future (europa.eu)).

The dialogue brought together key stakeholders, including providers of general-purpose AI models, rights holders, and other industry experts including SRIW. The discussions were insightful and essential, helping to align our efforts within SRIW’s AI Working Group with the latest regulatory frameworks.

We extend our sincere thanks to BMWK for the invitation and to all participants for their valuable contributions. SRIW looks forward to continuing our collaboration in fostering trustworthy AI practices across Europe.
