The Code’s Public Register gathers the providers and their respective services that have gone through the comprehensive and thorough assessment carried out by the accredited Monitoring Body – namely, SCOPE Europe. This ongoing due diligence – which is subject to annual renewals – provides a trusted source for costumers in their search for GDPR-compliant services.
Knowing the unique added value of the EU Cloud CoC, T-Systems has successfully declared Open Telekom Cloud as the first services of their portfolio adherent to the Code, fostering accountability and trust towards cloud users and data subjects while ultimately boosting the adoption of this key technology throughout European markets.
T-Systems joined the EU Cloud Code of Conduct in November 2021, underlining our commitment to data protection", stated Adel Al-Saleh, member of the Deutsche Telekom Board of Management and CEO of T-Systems. “We are happy to announce that the Open Telekom Cloud has successfully passed the adherence process, with more of our solutions to follow.”
Addressing the adherence of T-Systems, Jörn Wittmann, Managing Director of SCOPE Europe, said:
It is with great pleasure that we announce the adherence of T-Systems to the EU Cloud CoC. Such development is certainly an extremely relevant one in our path to ensure proper GDPR implementation within the cloud industry and, consequently, boost its adoption. In this context, we are confident on the potential of the Code to continually increase transparency and accountability, effectively underpinning the day-to-day compliance exercises of cloud users and providers.”
