AI Act: First Key Theses Regarding Self- and Coregulatory Measures

AISRIWNews

Following the recent publication of the AI Act, we've taken a deep dive into its provisions regarding self- and coregulatory measures and came up with first key theses.

Our At such an early stage, the AI Act and its implementation should remain open for any tools, to allow industry to determine in future which tool fits best their needs. Nevertheless, we would like to share our first, preliminary theses with you:

  1.  A Unified Self and Coregulatory Toolkit Under the AI Act:
SRIW supports that the AI-Act establishes a self- and coregulation toolkit of no hierarchical order but rather of complementary function.

  2. Voluntary Codes of Conduct as an Alternative Adequate Means:
SRIW promotes voluntary Codes of Conduct as a viable and effective alternative for ensuring adequate compliance with the AI-Act requirements.

  3. Voluntary Codes of Conduct for High-Risk AI Systems Compliance:
SRIW advocates for the use of Codes of Conduct as compliance tools for high-risk AI systems, in alignment with Article 95(2) of the AI Act.
