Public Policy / Project Manager (m/f/d)
SCOPE Europe is supporting co-regulative measures to counter challenges of modern information technologies’ society. It acts as a think tank to discuss and debate key issues in digital policy and provides an umbrella organisation for a range of co-regulatory measures in the digital industry. SCOPE Europe was founded in February 2017 as a subsidiary of the German non-profit-organization SRIW e.V. (Selbstregulierung Informationswirtschaft - Self-Regulation Information Economy).
We are calling for suitable regulatory methods to foster innovation and the digital transformation and, at the same time, promote corporate social responsibility, in particular regarding the appropriate measures for data and consumer protection. Related instruments cover a spectrum from enhancing the transparency of services and data processing and strengthening best practices in digital security to effective voluntary commitments from industry underpinned by sanctions.
Your Tasks
Represent SCOPE Europe positions and member interests at meetings, conferences, working groups and events with key stakeholders on EU level
Identify, monitor and analyse EU initiatives relevant for SCOPE Europe on a wide range of legal and consumer-related issues
Support the implementation of self- and co-regulatory projects (including active contribution to the monitoring of compliance of member companies)
Develop positions on internet and media related issues offering potential for self- and coregulation
Contribute to efforts to gain new members and set-up of new projects on EU level
Your Qualification
Relevant academic degree
Experience in data protection law and information technology processes is an asset
Understanding of the EU institutions and its decision-making processes
Excellent communication, networking, and inter-personal skills
Fluent in written and oral English; French and German language skills are an asset
